Wild Running
If the salmon are good and healthy, the whole catchment is good and healthy, including all
the other wildlife and the population that live in the catchment. The salmon is a proxy for
everything. (Edwin Third, Dee River)
The Salmon Run is an ultra run, a relay and 5k run on the same day following the migratory salmon
route on the River Exe upstream for 50 miles, from Exmouth to Tarr Steps on the edge of
Exmoor.
The Salmon Run celebrates the epic journey of the salmon, it’s
struggle to reach it’s destination and to survive in a changing climate.
Following the success of last year’s Salmon Run, we are partnering with Exmouth CIC
Tidelines again to bring you 3 runs in one day, a run for all abilities.
